Lesson 6 – Year 9

Aim: To get the students using the iPad independently

This lesson was a continuation of planning time for Speaking and Listening Assessment 1 in which a presentation was required – the iPad being an optional extra to help with the planning.

I made several observations during this lesson:

1)      Students seemed more settled with the iPads: more focused on tasks.

2)      The presentations on Keynote they have made are looking really good and the ability to incorporate photos instantly has led to a little bit of team bonding I feel, something having a purpose and feeling like they belong to something.

Overall, a decent lesson with students showing much more ownership of the task and iPad combined. It was ideal only having 6 to use with a full class of 30+ and considering this, they worked very well.
